Attendance Policies and Procedures

Master Chorale members are expected to attend all events and performances.

Attendance Policy:
Singers are allowed two absences in the fall and two absences in the spring during non-performances weeks.  After a 3rd absence in the fall or spring respectively, the singer will be contacted and must attend a make-up rehearsal.  If the singer is absent for 4 rehearsals, they will be asked to step down for the concert series.  Written approval from the Music & Artistic Director is required for any absence during performance weeks.  The Music & Artistic Director retains final authority to determine concert rosters.

Absence Procedure:
As a courtesy to the Chorale and its staff, please follow the directions below if you will not be attending a Master Chorale event of any kind.

1.  Notify the office by calling 813-974-7726 or by e-mailing the Graduate Conducting Apprentice (Kari: kari@masterchorale.com).  For absences during performance weeks, also e-mail the Artistic & Music Director (Dr. Z: zielinskir@aol.com) for written approval.

2.  Check your e-mail and the Singers Section of our website the day after rehearsal for rehearsal reviews, Noteworthy News, and any other announcements that you may have missed. Extra handouts will always be available at the following rehearsal, but it is the singer's responsibility to make sure they pick them up.

3.  Retrieve score markings from your Section Leader.
