Concert Routine
- Please check your e-mail
once a day during the week of our concerts if you can. We will use
e-mail to communicate announcements and/or cancellations due to weather.
- The call will generally be
one hour prior to an orchestra rehearsal or performance, allowing for
warm-up and necessary acoustical check.
- NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES
ARE PERMITTED ON STAGE.
- NO Perfumes, colognes,
aftershave lotions, scented shampoos/conditioners, etc. - during rehearsals
and/or performances. Many singers are allergic to such scents, especially
in tight quarters. The halls in which we rehearse and perform are all
non-smoking facilities.
- When entering and exiting
the stage, hold the music in your LEFT hand. No handbags,
briefcases, magazines, programs, water bottles, etc. are allowed on stage.
Move to your assigned performance space without talking or acknowledging any
specific audience person. Sit when asked.
- Acknowledging fellow
artists and soloists at the end of a concert is sometimes tricky. Do
not applaud on stage; you are a performer.
- Do not follow solo
passages in your score during a concert. When you have finished a
particular section, turn immediately to your next entrance.
