Concert Apparel and Music
CONCERT APPAREL
All singers are required to
purchase concert apparel.
Men:
Concert apparel for men is a black tuxedo, white tuxedo shirt, black bow tie,
rubber soled black shoes, black socks, black studs and cuff links, and black
vest. If you wish to buy a new tux, please pick up an information form at
your next Master Chorale rehearsal. The information form will include
suggestions on where to buy your tux. Prices vary depending on the store,
but plan to spend approximately $200 for an entire tux set.
Women:
Concert apparel for women is a special dress, special dress jacket, black
hosiery (knee highs are prohibited due to the high slit up the back of the
dress) and rubber soled black shoes. Please pick up a dress order
form at your next Master Chorale rehearsal if you need to buy a new dress or
jacket. Jewelry: simple set of pearls included in the price of your dress.
Dress order forms will be made available at your first rehearsal. The
dress, jacket and pearls will cost $125.00 in all.
MUSIC
Music scores and black
folders must be purchased.
Borrowed Music:
You may mark the music with pencil. Music must be returned immediately
following the concert (or rehearsal) for which it was used. New music for
subsequent concerts will not be issued until all delinquent music is returned.
If music is torn, you must purchase the music.
Purchased Music:
Scores will be available for purchase prior to the first rehearsal and
throughout the year. Please make your check payable to "The Master
Chorale" in the correct amount, or have the correct change if paying with cash.
Credit cards will not be accepted for music purchases.
