Audition Information
The next opportunity to audition
will be in August, 2008.
Check back with us in July for audition dates.
The Master Chorale is a non-profit organization open to any singer who can
successfully audition.

Auditions
are held
at the USF School of Music
(Directions to USF)
Audition Requirements:

Prepare a song of your choosing (3-4 minute maximum)

An accompanist will be
provided (please bring sheet music)

Sight-singing, rhythm and vocal exercises
All those
auditioning should consult our
SEASON CONCERT PLANNER and be
prepared to list any potential conflicts at the time of their audition.
Extra rehearsals are usually held every night during the week leading up
to performances.
Preference will be given to singers that are able to commit for the
complete season schedule.
Rehearsals:
Rehearsals are each Tuesday at the School of Music on the University of South
Florida Tampa campus from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. During performance weeks,
rehearsals are added. Singers are expected to attend all Master Chorale
rehearsals. Singers are excused for un-resolvable conflicts only at the
discretion of the Music and Artistic Director. All dress rehearsals and
rehearsals with The Florida Orchestra are mandatory.
All singers are required to purchase their music, folder and concert attire
(costs vary). There are no other membership fees, although donations are
always welcome.
