The University of South Florida School of
Music and The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay are proud to announce our
upcoming USF Festival of Voices to be held September 12-13,
2008.
The USF Festival of Voices is an intensive
two-day workshop for high school choral students. The Festival features
two choirs for your students to participate in; the Festival Mixed Chorus
conducted by USF Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Richard Zielinski, and
the Festival Women’s Chorus conducted Dr. Lynne Gackle, USF Coordinator of
Choral Music Education. The Festival Mixed Chorus will be joined by
members of the USF Chamber Singers and the Festival Women’s Chorus will be
joined by members of the USF Bel Canto Women’s Chorus. Both choirs
will join with The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay in selections by Leonard
Bernstein and a new Master Chorale commission by Alice Parker, The
Rock and the River.
Enclosed please find a Festival brochure
and Festival flyer suitable for posting. The brochure contains details of
the Festival as well as a registration form - you may also register online
on at ww.masterchorale.com/fov. The registration fee is $25 per
student. The deadline for registration is Friday, August 29, 2007.
Registrations made after the deadline will be $30 per student.
Repertoire lists for the Festival will be
posted on our website shortly. Music will be available for purchase from
