SAVE THE DATE! The
University of South Florida School of Music and The Master Chorale of
Tampa Bay are proud to announce our upcoming USF Festival of Voices to
be held September 25-26, 2009. We would like to invite you and your
students to join us for this special weekend of choral music.
The
USF Festival of Voices is an intensive two-day workshop for high school
choral students. The Festival features two choirs for your students to
participate in; the Festival Mixed Chorus conducted by USF Interim
Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Duncan Couch (formerly of Stetson
University), and the Festival Women’s Chorus conducted by a guest to be
announced shortly.
The
Festival Mixed Chorus will be joined by members of the USF Chamber
Singers and the Festival Women’s Chorus will be joined by members of the
USF Bel Canto Women’s Chorus. Both choirs combined will join with The
Master Chorale of Tampa Bay for a Mass Festival Chorus of nearly 500
singers.
Enclosed is an informational brochure about the Festival. All
registrations will be online this year. The
registration fee is $25 per student. The deadline for registration is
Tuesday,
September 8, 2009.
Registrations made after the deadline will be $30 per student.
Repertoire lists for the Festival will be posted on our website over the
summer. Music will be available for purchase from Head’s House of Music
