Richard Zielinski is
the Music and Artistic Director of The Master
Chorale of Tampa Bay,
principal chorus of The Florida Orchestra
and Artist-in-Residence at the
University of South Florida. He is
equally at home in front of choirs and
orchestras conducting both
modern day repertoire as well as classical
standards. Richard has
been a guest conductor for The Florida Orchestra,
numerous
regional orchestras and choruses, as well as orchestras in Poland
and
Austria. He has worked with composers Samuel Adler,
Eleanor Daley, Norman Dello Joio, Libby Larsen, Stephen
Paulus and Krystoff Penderecki in domestic
and international music
festivals.
Internationally, Richard serves as Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of In
Terra Pax (an international
choral academy) and serves as Assistant Conductor
of the Classical Music Festival at the Esterhazy
Palace in Eisenstadt,
Austria. From 2003-2005, he served as Artistic Director and Conductor of The
Szczecin Technical University Choir, one of Poland’s top choral ensembles.
In addition to his responsibilities with The Master Chorale, Richard is a
tenured Associate Professor,
Director of Choral Activities and Coordinator of
Ensembles at the University of South Florida (Tampa).
He is also the editor of
a new Polish Music Series with Roger Dean Publishing. In 2005, he founded and
continues to direct the Richard Zielinski Singers, a 40-voice professional
chorus.
