During late August of 2015, the Master Chorale regretfully received Robert Winslow's note of resignation. Robert has been an integral part of our organization for an accumulated 20 years, he is like family to us and we will miss him dearly in the rehearsal hall and on the concert stage. We wish him the absolute best always.
Dr. James Bass selected Teresa Ancaya to be the Chorale's Interim Accompanist for the 2015-2016 season. Teresa is a top notch pianist and we are thrilled that she has been able to join our team to play for both the full Master Chorale and the Master Chorale Ensemble Singers.
Due to the quick nature of this personnel change in relation to the beginning of the 2015-2016 season, the Chorale decided to delay auditions for the permanent Principal Accompanist position until now. It is on that note that we announce that the official Principal Accompanist search has begun.
Applications are now being accepted through April 15, 2016. All candidates must be available for a live audition on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in the evening, and only the top three applicants will be auditioned.
