Providing free experiences for students by artists who live where they live is an investment in the community and future generations of musicians and music lovers. While we look forward to working with Florida students in their classrooms and in the concert halls again in the future, we are excited to be creating new pre-produced and live video lessons that will support music teachers and students right away and will continue to be a part of our educational offerings well into the future.

In-School Music Education

Our Outreach & Education Ensemble (volunteer artists) and Conductor (Deah McReynolds) spend two full days visiting numerous elementary schools in Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties with dynamic presentations including music theory fundamentals, vocal pedagogy and interactive exercises with the artists. In-school presentations include “guided tours” of each piece, and students have the chance to sing along with the artists.
Next year, we look forward to resuming our two day-time free concerts for students in venues like the historic Tampa Theatre in downtown Tampa, and the Palladium Theater in St. Petersburg. The concerts will begin with a fun and interactive lesson in concert attendance etiquette, “guided tours” of each piece, and opportunities to learn new music and sing along with the artists.
